Experience

Teaching and tutoring is a huge passion of mine. I have a lot of experience tutoring, including when I lived in Shanghai, China. I helped Chinese children prepare for the SSAT and SAT exams so they could study abroad. Additionally, while I was in China, I taught English at a Chinese university. Once I came back to the U.S., I didn't want to stop teaching, so I have been working with high school and college students. I help pupils here prepare for the LSAT, GMAT, GRE, and SAT exams. I believe my educational and professional experience gives me the knowledge I need to continue helping with test prep. I have my bachelor's degree in Psychology and Economics. I also have over five years of tutoring and teaching in a wide range of subjects. My theory on tutoring is that every person learns differently. I like to think that each person can achieve their goals with motivation and a healthy learning environment. I always take the time to get to know my students and make a lesson plan that compliments their strengths. I also focus on encouragement. When I am not creating lesson plans, I can be found playing sports, traveling, and playing music. I am most looking forward to helping as many people as possible through tutoring.
